Agatha Christie (1890–1976), hailed as the Queen of Crime, was a British mystery writer and the best-selling novelist of all time. She created legendary characters like Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, and authored 66 detective novels, 14 short story collections, and several plays. Known for her ingenious plots and mastery of the “closed room” mystery, her stories are celebrated for keeping readers guessing until the very end.

Her works have been translated into over 100 languages and adapted widely for film, television, and stage, with famous titles including Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile.
